A French ATM fraudster has been arrested in Phuket following a joint operation between the Police Bureau, the Tourist Police and the Pattaya Police. The man had allegedly been stealing money from ATM machines using fake cards in several Thai tourist centres, including Pattaya, Phuket and Chiang Mai.

Pattaya, 27 November 2010 (PDN): At 8.00pm on Friday Police Superintendent Colonel Nunthawut Suwanla-ong from the Pattaya Police announced the apprehension of a French ATM fraudster following the issue of a warant by the Pattaya Provincial Court.

Major Colonel Panya Mamaen (Police Bureau Deputy Commissioner-Investigation department) and police Major Colonel Adid Ngamjitsuksee (Tourism Police Commissioner) have recently been working together to apprehend a foreign gang that has been stealing money from bank accounts at ATM machines with fake ATM cards. Mr. Belkacem Batache. :annoyed:

I do not think he will be nominated for any prestigious awards for his work on behalf of France this year, at least.

But the Thai government will award him free lodging.

Thai police seem to be doing some commendable work lately. Congrats to them (!) and thanks for taking some of the scum off the streets.

But the Thai government will award him free lodging.

Do the Thai banks take that personal like the the one Thai company (corporate mix of companies that invested)did against the Thai couple who worked at the Gas station who were apprehended? Then if so, he could get thousands of years in a Thai jail depending on the amount of money or times he pressed the magic ATM buttons.
