Shipping Restriction From Thailand To Us And 34 Other Countries

Shipping restriction from Thailand to US and 34 other countries

Nothing bigger than 450g accepted by post office

Hi,

One more time US paranoia makes business difficult (but the world safer in their dreams).

Parcels heavier than 450 grams can't be sent to US anymore, and maybe until December 8th 2010.

Do you have any information to know if the date of December, 8th 2010 given by post office is based on something true and official if it's just a guess by Thai post office ?

Can you still send large parcels by Fedex and UPS ?

Thanks a lot.

Topic has been running for a while in the Business and Economy forum

It may have some answers to your questions. Short answers are that you can still ship by private carriers, and the December 8 date appears to be nothing more than a 30 day temporary deadline that may or may not be extended.

Thanks, so it seems that problems might last longer...
