i'm aware BKK has its share of dodgy tailors, but there must be some great ones out there too. I'm looking to get a suit made in a very modern fashionable cut. Anyone out there got some good recommendations?

Buy your own fabric. Go to Pa-Hu-Rat street in Bkk or WoLaRot market in Chiang Mai.

The first few times you will not be satisfied. It takes awhile to

a) find a good tailor

to get him to understand what you like.

The serious thai tailors in Bkk are on Chakrapongse Street perpendicular to Khao San rd.

Another good one is Chao Khun in Chiang Mai near Thapae Gate. Kind of a grumpy old man thought, if you can take that.

Expect to pay at least 6000 Bt (200 USD) for a suit.

Try to get at least 3 fittings.
