90 Days Reporting

Featured Replies

I have heard some reports that if you do the 90 days in person, they only allow a window of 7 days before the due date and have scrapped the 7 days window after the date.

Can any one confirm or deny this? Is it bar room gossip? I'd be grateful to hear from anyone who has gone to C/Wattana after the due date who can put this rumour to bed.

Thanks.

7 days either side of the reporting date.

OK thanks!

It makes no difference. The rule is 7 days +/- wherever you go.

EDIT.

I was replying to your post before you changed it.

Yes now I report to Khon Kaen. In the past Khorat and Samui.

Same rule.

I did my 90 reporting at Chaeng Wattana last Tuesday which was one day "after" the required reporting date (Monday) stamped on the previous report receipt. No problem...no late penalty...in and out in about 15 minutes. When physically reporting, the rule is plus or minus 7 days which actually works out to a 15 day window of: up to 7 days before the stamped required reporting date, the specific required reporting date, and up to 7 days after the stamped required reporting date.

If you arrange it with immigration before hand, you can be 4 weeks either side of the due date.

Never heard of that. Must be some special program if it really exists.

So you are suggesting I am lying then ?.....its not a "special" program, its called planning, and have done it on more than one occassion, both early and late.

Any expat who works offshore in the Gulf of Thailand can do it ,however if you do turn up late wihout pre-organisng things you will be fined, but if pre-arranged with immigration its not a problem.

No need to get personal here. A simple explanation would do nicely.

Sounds fair....they are providing special treatment of sorts for a good reason, especially since you are not actually leaving the country. Just never saw another TV post mentioning such early or late reporting as an available option. Thanks for the clarification.

Why would one need special permission to submit it earlier than -7 days? (with the understanding that the 90 day clock starts over then).

Because they have made it policy from onset that they will not accept more than 7 days early from general public.

Thanks to everyone. OK, so I can scotch the rumour that 7 days after the due date is not allowed. B2,000 is better in my pocket than theirs!!:giggle:

So, you ask for special permission and submit that same day under special permission (there are situations when one cannot submit it within the 15 day window).
