Problems With The Post-Help Needed

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

about more than 6 weeks ago ,I made an order through the Barnes and Nobels website for the shipment of some valuable cooking books .Altogether I payed about 150 USD

since then, nothing has much happened.I have still no news about the books, and as B&N don't have a tracking of the shipment, all that I was advised by them was to check with the local post here.

Have any of you had any similair experience before? Who can I turn to here in order to check about my shipment.I live on Sukhumwit soi 39

Thanks

Sometimes the address is printed incorrectly but, as long as the 5-number postal code is clear, your parcel should make it as far as your local post office.

So, first thing you should do is visit the post office (the one identified by the postal code in your address). Ask the postmaster to look for an undelivered parcel from the US, about this size...

This has worked for me a couple of times. One time the postmaster contacted our postie on his cellphone and I was told that he was just about to deliver the parcel (coincidence, or what?).

Another option is that the parcel has been randomly selected for customs inspection, which could add to the delay. I have no idea how you could find out - but you could ask your local postmaster.

I had an order from Amazon UK which arrived over 2 months late. I had already made enquiries at the post office and the supplier had already given me a refund.

Good luck.
