Hi All,

I have been working here, have a non imm b visa till may 2011 and need to go nathon every 3 months for my stamp, next one being Jan 16th.

I have since ceased employment with the company and they are saying everything is null and void and i am now illegal.

Is this true ???? please advise before i bare my soul to samui immigration

I believe that when your job stops your visa stops, I think you have 7 days to make alternate arrangements. There are others here much more knwledgeable, just hang on for them for more accurate advice before you do anything.

Lopburi / Lite beer / Mario etc will be the guys to know for sure.

if you actually are on a one year non imm b visa then you are ok (visa wise) until that one runs out. if however you received a one year extension of your original 3 month non imm b then you probably should choose between border exits, pronto.

your post says you have a one year non imm b, but if you are going to nathon for your stamp every 90 days then it sounds like you actually have the "extension" rather than the visa.

Your extension of stay ends the same day your employment ends.

You can get 7 days extension of stay at immigration to sort out your affairs before leaving the Kingdom.

As said your permission to stay ended the day your employment ended if it was an employment based extension of stay and you are required to visit immigration on that day with a letter from employer to cancel the permission to stay. At that time you can either leave or extend your stay for 7 days (a new 1,900 baht fee).

The first stamp appears to be your 90 day address report. That has nothing to do with your Immigration status.

The second is your Visa that is now expired.

Somewhere in your passport there is a permitted to stay stamp. Probably May 11.

That would be no more since your employment ended.

You are probably now on overstay and the fine is 500 Baht a day. The sooner you leave the country and pay the fine the better.

You can return with no problem.

Your first picture is of your 90 report form, TM47.

This confirms that you are on an "Extension of Stay".

Your second picture shows a Non-Immigrant B Visa, single entry, issued in Feb 2010 and long since expired.

Also, the word "Used" has been written across it.

It appears your extension of stay was based on your work (and not marriage?) and it therefore ended the day your employment ended.

As said above, you should have gone to immigration on that day and got a 7 days extension, or have left the country.

Sorry to tell you, you are now on 'Overstay'.

Others can suggest ways to clear this up.
