Kuala Lumpur To Chiang Mai

Featured Replies

Hi all

Apart from Air Asia, does anyone know if there are any more budget carriers that operate between Kuala Lumpur and Chiang Mai?

Thanks

Howard

Air Asia is the only carrier on this route.

I have taken that particular route many a time and find AA are a lot more punctual than they used to plus by booking emergency exit seat there is even a level of comfort to be had. Note that 12 and 14 are both emergency exits but seats in 12 don't recline.

That said there are other reasons not to fly AA.

I had a feeling this was the case but just wanted it verified. The connecting flight times from KL aren't convenient for me but I will just have to make do.

Yes Mahseer, the seat setup is similar to Tiger Air and probably most budget carriers. I always opt for row 13 because of this reason.

The CNX flight leaves in the early morning as you probably already know. If you need to overnight at the Low Cost Terminal the Tune Hotel is convenient and reasonable value. Tiny rooms, but adequate for one night.

I'm flying through there from Chiang Mai and decided it better to go through Bkk instead of direct as there are much more flights leaving from Bkk and less waiting at KL.

row 13 does not exist at AirAsia, so you sit on the floor ? or inside the overhead bin ? B)
