Johnson & Johnson division recalls 13 million Rolaids packages

ONTARIO, CANADA (BNO NEWS) — McNeil Consumer Healthcare, Division of Johnson & Johnson Inc., is voluntarily recalling all lots of Rolaids Ultra Strength SoftChews and Rolaids Ultra Strength SoftChews plus Gas Relief distributed in Canada.

McNeil decided to conduct the recall, which include over 13 million packages, following some consumer reports of foreign materials in the product, including metal and wood particles.

The company's investigation determined that the materials were potentially introduced into the product during the manufacturing process at a third party manufacturer.

While the risk of serious adverse health consequences is remote, McNeil Consumer Healthcare advises consumers who have purchased these recalled products to discontinue use.

"While our investigation is ongoing we have suspended production of Rolaids Ultra Strength SoftChews and Rolaids Ultra Strength SoftChews plus Gas Relief and will not restart production until corrective actions have been implemented," the company said.

This voluntary recall is being conducted with the knowledge of Health Canada.

I had no clue what kind of product that might be so i used google and found out that Rolaids Ultra Strength SoftChews plus Gas Relief are actually called Rolaids Ultra Strength Plus Gas Relief Soft Chews

And they furthermore inthe USA also recall all lots of ROLAIDS Extra Strength plus Gas Softchews and ROLAIDS Multi-Symptom plus Anti-Gas Softchews

so be careful with any Ultra and Extra Strenght and Plus Gas and plus Anti-Gas softchew and probably any other Rolaids softchew too.
