HI all this is my first question, and sorry if it has been answered b4, I am an aussie living in pattaya and am doing a border run to loas as follows.

1)Plane bkk to udon thani arrive 8.30 am

2)bus udon thani 9am to vientiane, im trying to get the direct bus so i need a visa before hand. This bus service dont allow you on unless you have a visa for loas.

I know i can get one at the border but my concern is time, as i need to be at the embassy b4 12pm!

I know i can get one at the Loas embassy in bangkok but it looks like a bit of a mission to get there from pattaya.

If you are going to say travel agents please supply contact details, as i have read posts already regarding this :)

(i called one travel agent opposite mikes shopping mall and was quoted $3300 bht for the 15 day loas visa)

Thanks in advance

Reckon it might cover the travel agent's gofur's time and expense to go up to Bangkok and get the Lao visa from the Lao Embassy. Saves the OP such a trip via bus & taxi, if the Bangkok taxi even knows where the Lao Embassy is hidden away at. Took me a while to find the place on my first visit there some years ago. FYI, I was impressed by one factor at the embassy, all American Standard stuff in the crapper, someone remembers the good times pre-1975!
