i've forgotten what i need to do, going to uk next year , so i know most on here will give me sound advice, is it as simple as going to immigration and ask to change to a multi entry visa and paying the dosh to do so, if yes sorry to have bothered you all, merry christmas though.

What sort of visa have you got at the moment? It's difficult to help with such scant info. If you have a retirement visa or single entry non imm o then yes, you'll have to go to immigration and get an exit stamp.

It depends on how long you want to stay. A triple entry visa is free right now and you can add 3 more month long stays after that. It is quite simple to obtain. An unlimited multi-entry visa requires a bit more effort and outlay, and I believe it includes a health certificate, a police check and a required amount of cash available..

The visa subforum perhaps ? Googling a Royal Thai Embassy and reading their visa requirements ? Or you could just rely on RTD, Tom, n Steve, etc. on their computers (<deleted>) to type you some good reliable advice.

Do have a good holiday though, Sir Doppa.

Poster appears to be in Thailand on an extension of stay so will require a re-entry permit to keep that stay if he travels. Cost is 1,000 baht single entry or 3,800 baht multi entry. This must be obtained prior to travel out of Thailand.

Yes. A bit of a guess but he appears to have an extension of stay based on retirement.

Pop along to Chiang Mai Immigration and get a Re Entry Permit. 1,000 Baht.
