is this what i need for asian outlets for my electronics to work? im not sure ive been to asia once and used one before but i forgot and it was awhile ago, if this thing isnt it what is?

Can not see that thing as get access denied. US plugs fit Thai outlets with no adapters required. Just make sure your equipment handles 220v, 50Hz. If Thailand is your first stop universal adapters are sold in major chain stores everywhere.

Best Buy does not sell to Thailand and it appears they don't want us buying for anyone else either.

Converter sounds right. As Lopburi said the plugs work just fine. Need to step down 220 volt to 120.

There are many different outlets used around Asia, some (like Thailand) will accept a US plug (but beware that most are 220V).
