praglen
How far is Mo Chit(BTS and MRT) station from the Mall and what are my options, including the time and cost of a taxi, to get there? I need to get to the Thailand Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is, I understand, across from the Mall. .
Gippy
It not across from the Mall, by which I think you mean the IT Square. The MFA is on Chaengwattana road, depending on the traffic it can take as little as 20 minutes by taxi from Mor Chit and should cost around 100 baht. You could take a number 52 bus from Mor Chit instead, cheap but hot and slow unless you are lucky enough to get a new metro bus but there aren't many of them on that route. thailandbluegrass
The best way is to take a mini van from Victory Monument to Laksi. Ask them to stop at the Government Building in Laksi. It's only 25 baht from Victory. Then there is a free shuttle bus right inside the road that takes you right to the building and back. They run about every 10 minutes. There will be many motorcycle taxis there to offer but do not use them. Take the free shuttle. Total cost there and back = 50 baht. Just ask the minivans at Victory what ones go to Laksi then tell the driver "jot rat-ta-bahn Laksi". It just means "stop government Laksi".
