I have tried to extract the answers for my questions by searching this forum but it was really difficult. So I hope I am not imposing by asking the mods and/or experienced members for hopefully quick and easy answers to the following questions:

1) Non-Imm O based on visiting my Thai girlfriend (issued by Hull):

a ) How long is the initial permission of stay (and therefore how many entries are issued)? I know that technically Hull could issue a 3 month validity, single entry non-immigrant visa or a 12 month validity, multi entry non-immigrant visa, but what in actuality are they issuing these days?

b ) For how long can I obtain an extension of stay at the Immigration Authorities here in Thailand?

2) Non-Imm B:

a ) How long is the initial permission of stay? Again, technically the issuing embassy/consulate could issue a 3 month validity, single entry non-immigrant visa or a 12 month validity, multi entry non-immigrant visa, but what in actuality are they issuing these days, and which embassies/consulates in Europe are the most "generous" in issuing these Non-Imm B? Would Hull be one of them?

b ) For how long can I get an extension of stay?

I am asking the above because I may actually have the option of applying for either type of visa and would like to understand the advantages and disadvantages of going one way or the other.

Thank you.

1. A single entry will give 90 days.

A multi entry will give unlimited entries with a maximum of 90 days each entry. Valid for 12 months from date of issue.

Do a border run just before the Visa expires and get another 90 days giving almost 15 months in total.

You will not get an extension from Immigration unless you marry her or have another reason such as retirement, business, education etc.

2. As above. 90 days each entry.

Extensions are for 12 months if you qualify.

You also need a Work Permit if you are going to work.

1) In my original post, I asked what the Consulate in Hull was actually issuing these days as it regards a Non-Imm O based on visiting a Thai girlfriend, i.e. are they issuing single entry or multiple entries visas? I am sorry if I was unclear about this. Would you happen to know?

2) The same applies to my question regarding the issuance of a Non-Imm B: which embassies/consulates in Europe are issuing the most "generous" visas these days, and would that include Hull as well? Again, I am sorry if I was unclear about this. Would you happen to know?

Have you read the pinned visa topic "Useful Immigration Information & Visa Descriptions".

Yes, I did, but I could not find all the answers to my questions. I also did a search, read some of the most recent posts that the search produced, but again it was a little difficult to sift through all the info in order to find my answers.

Hull are issuing multi entry visas of all types at present, they will most likely issue singles if you ask. You can download their application packs to discover the exact requirements, a B is now more difficult than in the past (but still not that hard).

All embassies / consulates issue the same type and validity of visa so there are no 'generous' ones other than those who are more liberal in their interpretation of the rules for issue (of which Hull is near, if not at, the top of the list).

Yes, you are right, the word "generous" is probably the wrong choice of words.

Thank you very much, I believe this has answered all my questions.
