Buchholz Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 Israeli Child-abuser Nabbed In Pattaya BANGKOK, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- Officers of Thailand's Department of Special Investigation (DSI) have arrested an Israeli national charged with sex-abuse against children aged under 15 and related to several other transnational networks of child-abuse and cyber-pornography, according to Thai News Agency on Wednesday. DSI Director-General Tharit Pengdit said that Eyal Tanami was arrested at a hotel in downtown Pattaya resort city of Thailand's eastern Chonburi Province on Tuesday in a joint raid by the DSI officers for foreign affairs and international crime cases and local police after the Pattaya Provincial Court had approved his arrest warrant. The suspect is said to have escaped the arrest and stayed at a hotel on Bangkok's famous Khao San Road, and also have planned to flee out of Thailand, he said. Police also seized two air-tickets of Qatar Airways booked for January 4's departure, the suspect's Slovakian passport, driver's license and identification card. Just to remind you asians are still the largest group of customers for underage sex. It just does not get into the news like this. They keep it out of the news because Thais never do bad things and it must be kept out of the news not to distort that image. Just like it all goes so well in Thailand there is no bad news.... but we are in a recession according to an article i read recently here on Thaivisa. I wonder if the police are making a more concerted effort to stamp out this type of crime, or are they just making a better effort at publicizing them. I am sure there are some local child molesters in Thailand. But the truth is that when it comes to the intensity and level of perversion, male Farangs have quite a bad reputation here. There is nothing you people can do to improve the locals' negative perception of male Farangs' sexual abnormality. Thai people used to trust you people and thought highly of Farangs as examples in many areas. But when this kind of odious behaviour is carried out by some foreigners, the trust has been broken. Jingthing Posted January 6, 2011 Share Posted January 6, 2011 (edited) There have been many reports for many years now that Thai brothels (vastly HETEROSEXUAL) targeted for Thai customers (not to mention the foreign Asian demand for young "virgins" in Thailand) are typically staffed with many underage sex workers (quite often non-Thai Asians), some shockingly underaged. Any rational person would bet the house that in Thailand, a land with a brothel culture for centuries, that there is more illicit underage sex Thai on Thai, than western foreigner on Thai. It's totally obvious, get real ... You rarely hear reports of these Asian sex worker operations (some may actually be slavery) for the Thai market being busted. Next ... It is rather hypocritical of Farangs to lecture Thai people on sexual morality when many of them travel all over the world to abuse minors. Sexual acts between adults is not a big deal as it is consenting, in spite of the fact that people have to pay for that kind of service. Nowadays, to many Thais, the word "farang" is not only the generic Thai word referring to a westerner, it is also notoriously and strongly synonymous with two foul English words beginning with "P" which nobody wants to be labelled with. There are far more international media brownie points up for grabs by parading a foreigner at a press confernce than if the alledged ofender was a Thai. Their hideous crimes have been well-documented in the western media. It says it all about how abnormal and acute the problem is. It goes without question that these men are immensely sick-minded in terms of their sexuality. No wonder kids in the West are too scared to wander and play around on the street. If their perverted sexual desire was not so enormous, these men wound not travel all over the world specifically to molest children. It is just a simple truth that is indefensible.
