Non-Immigrant 'O' Visa

Recommended Posts

A non-O should not require a medical certificate, unless you aply to undergo for a medical treatment. But if this consulate demands one If based on other reasons, as the link suggests, I don't know. Might be an oversight, best to contact them. We don't get many reports about applying for a non-O in PP.

Otherwise, if you are in Thailand, a government hospital charges something like 30 or 50 baht for it, if you want to play it safe.

Thanks Mario,

Does Vientiane do Non-O's now? Just looking at their site and no sign of Non-O application forms, requirements etc.

Normally the same form is used for all visa applications - you state or check on the form what you want.

Yes, just been looking at the Vientiane form. But there's no reference to required documents for a Non-O application in Vientiane, only Tourist and Non-Imm B.

I know last year different Consulates wanted different documents.

You need to advise what the visa will be issued for. If Thai wife copy of marriage certificate, copy of her ID card and home register are often asked now. Have her date and sign copies. It can be helpful to have a short note from her asking for visa to be issued to help further prove you are together (as that would be the reason for issue). If you want a multi entry only KL is a sure bet and they require proof of 100k in bank account. Other may issue but expect them to also have financial proof requirements.
