Yet Another Thai Visa Question

Featured Replies

I arrived in BKK without a visa, got my 30 day stamp at the airport, and am having loads of dental work done.

So, now I'm trying to figure out where to get a free ( hopefully) multiple entry visa. I'm thinking either Vientiane or Penang or even Savanakhet?

If need be, can I get an extension on this 30 day, maybe with a letter from my dentist??

I may have a gap where I can be gone for a month between dental visits and might hang out outside Thailand.

All decisions are based on my mouth and the visa foolishness.

Any advice of suggestions would be appreciated.

I used to spend lots of time here, running across borders but that was a few years back and things are always changing. What is the current border crossing situation?

Does one get 30 days or only two weeks now?

And I have tried doing searches but dam_n, I'm bad on the computer!

Thanks in advance.

You dont state what nationality you are but generally its 15 days by land and 30 days by Air.

Tourist Visa's can be obtained at any of the neigbouring countries. Vetienne/Laos is generally the favorite dependant on your location.

Tourist visa's are currently FREE until March I believe.

And Vientiane will normally issue a two entry tourist visa if you request it.

So will Savannakhet.
