Permission To Stay 30 Days

Featured Replies

Hi guys and gals I tried to search for this but didn't have any luck. I am bringing my son over for a holiday, he will be coming from Australia (so should be eligible for a "visa on entry"). He will be staying for less than the 30 days but I need to know if you need a return airfare to qualify as it would be more convenient to book the return flight after he gets here(Air Asia from the Gold Coast). Thanks in advance Tony

He will most likely have to meet 30 day entry requirement to get on the plane and that requires onward travel ticket. Be best to book as round trip.

Thanks Lopburi, I figured as much it just takes the flexibility out of the equation he has had trouble getting his passport done in time because of the floods over there so as time is running out he won't have time to get a visa from the embassy. I am only back for a month as I work 1 month on 1 month off on an oil rig. Ah well no harm in trying.....

Even when I am returning to Thailand from Australia using a ticket purchased in Thailand I Am always asked for my on going ticket or to show my visa.
