Sarathi
Used to be that Chiang Mai was the centre for Buddhism, in English language at least. Looking at the calendar though : http://thai.calendars.net/sarathi/ seems like Bangkok is aserting its place. There is a packed schedule of tours, talks and workshops at differnet places/different groups. Interesting that in 'Buddhist' country, the temples seem very passive, and never do anything in English. Also interesting that all the above events are not led by Thais. It is good that Bangkok has more to offer on its moral side, in juxtaposition to the seedy.
