Au contraire smokie...and you also don't get the poxy power cuts we do aswell. This has basically been a four month rain season. The weather has been wet, humid and shows no sign of getting any better. <deleted> people come here for a holiday i'll never know. i cant wait to get out of the place. :lol:

I remember when my parents came to visit in 1997, it rained non-stop for the entire month of November. I've never seen so much rain, there wasn't a day in that entire month it didn't piss down. Many roads were still dirt at that time and getting around the island was a nightmare. Fortunately, my parents weren't here to sunbathe but still, I think it left them with the impression that I lived in a very soggy place.

The only thing perfect in the last few days of miserable wet weather, is BigC had to double post with his perfect statement ... no spelling errors!

It's certainly been the worst January. weather wise, I remember since my first January visit in 2004... & looks like we are in for a few more days of showers & or rain

Not good for the tourists, it was so quiet on the ring road yesterday, between Maenam & Tesco, it seemed like a Sunday morning... even the Tesco parking lot was almost empty at 11 am or so.... or was there a big party the night before that no one told me about?
