Glass Cutting

Featured Replies

I need to have a glass insert replaced in a vanity unit. Around 15" x 20".

Anyone know where i can have this done?

Thanks!

:)

Inner moat, from Chiang Mai gate going east, if I remember well around 200 metres before the moat corner is a specialized glass cutter shop.

We've used this same shop, on the inner moat road, east of the Chiang Mai gate. They're quick, reasonably priced and will deliver larger pieces to your home for a very low charge. We've put glass on every tabletop -- easier to keep the tabletops clean and still show off pretty textiles under the glass. Smaller items -- like a clock and picture frames -- we just bring into the shop so they can measure very accurately.

Thanks (a year later!) for the above recommendation. A good thing, too, that your directions were so specific. The shopfront is very nondescript; I almost missed it. No English spoken, but the owner understood what I wanted and did an excellent job--including rounding the corners. A glass tabletop, 50 centimeters by 120 cost Bt.400--ready (and wrapped) in an hour. The shop no longer delivers...
