Sliding Gate - Auto Close

Featured Replies

Morning all,

I'm looking for a mechanism to auto-close a sliding gate. Not a roller door, just a walkway gate - for the little ones nursery. Its on a small soi, but it scares the <deleted> out of me, even though they have 2 gates before the soi, parents always leave the boundary gate open, so easy for one of the kids to do a quick runner onto the soi.

I've googled with no luck. All it needs is a pully-system to close the gate, but i cant find a pic of the system to get it made up. There must be some around somewhere, can someone advise??

Thanks

All the equipment needed; pulleys, wire, clamping bolts, can be found at large hardware stores. Than a competent welding shop can easily build it, add a counter weight, for you.

Cheers

I saw a couple floor displays of auto-gates at Global House. From CM go down 108 (CM - Hong Dong hwy) to the Big C intersection and turn left there. Follow the hwy. across the Ping river and further about 2 km on left. Huge sign.

Well Global only had expensive electric mechanisms.

Can anybody find me a diagram of a pully system to close said gate??
