News_Editor Posted January 25, 2011 Share Posted January 25, 2011 World Fuel Services to acquire Ascent Aviation Group 2011-01-25 09:35:36 GMT+7 (ICT) MIAMI, FLORIDA (BNO NEWS) -- World Fuel Services Corporation on Monday announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, World Fuel Services, Inc., (WFS) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Ascent Aviation Group, Inc. The transaction, which is expected to be $0.03 to $0.05 accretive to earnings in the first twelve months, is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed within 30 days. WFS is a Miami-based global fuel logistics company with over 6,000 locations in 200 countries, including airports, seaports, tanker truck loading terminals and other customer storage locations. With its recent acquisitions of Western Petroleum and the Hiller Group, WFS is looking to continue expanding its general aviation business and enhance its product offering to include deicing fluids. Ascent, a leading distributor of aviation fuel and deicing fluids based in Parish, New York, supplies aviation fuel and deicing fluid to more than 450 airports and fixed base operators throughout North America.
