Yes, I did read about the controls on pork due to illness outbreaks and pork is easy to obtain in Thailand so I don't know why anyone would bother to bring it. I plan to bring USA beef ribeye along with cheese. -

You will get very close to the estimate. It may not be 2.0000% like on a term deposit, there will probably be a different number in the second decimal. This is a fixed-term (automatic redemption after about 6 months, they are always a bit flexible about the maturity date) fixed-income (fund holds only a certain set of fixed-income papers, in this case Japanese government bonds, see the fact sheet, they won't buy or sell) foreign (fund holds only Japanese papers) fund. These funds are very safe. They usually hold papers from Qatari banks, big Indonesian banks, big Chinese companies, stuff like that. It's all short-term paper, will mature soon, so very little risk - they are always currency-hedged. Return is usually a bit higher. Risk is usually given as 4/10 (because foreign). In this case, they only hold Japanese government bonds, so even safer, 3/10, (the risk is that the Japanese government will go broke within 6 months), but less return. Return of these funds is always a tiny bit more than a fixed-term deposit, and tax-free. But they always run only a short time (6 or 12 months is typical), and then you have to get active again. For a well-off Thai (minimum investment is typically 500,000) who pays income tax and who would not be able to claim back the withholding tax, this is a way to get a tax-free return even on rather high sums invested. -

She does not have the.... Fortitude Grit Staying-power Brains Charisma Etc... To even run for Prez.... Much less to BE Prez.... For even One Year, much less Four Years. It's one thing to "dream" of being president. But....being president is very hard work. Very few have enough energy for the job. Not many have the daily, day after day, raw ambition and toughness to face the grind. Just look at what happened to Nixon..... Down on his knees, praying with Kissinger.... Oh Wait.....speaking of being down on one's knees..... I often wonder where Trump, during these past many years of being in the race, the rat race....finds this stamina. And, for this one thing....I must admire the guy, even though I do not like the dude. Does anyone think that Harris has anywhere near the stamina of a Trump, a Nixon, or a few other presidents that have had their feet held to the fire...for years? Look at what happened to Lyndon, for example. The presidency can break men....and does. Harris is not presidential material, just from a resiliency perspective. It's simple to see. Maybe YOU do not see, but I can see, just as can many others.- 2

Bringing Meat/Cheese into Thailand
I brought cheese many times, up to 5-7kg, never had any issues. Coming back after a month and will load cheese again. Don't bring pork products, the penalties are up to 200k baht fine and/or 2 years jail. At least it was like this 2 years ago.
