I bought a new tyre today in Pattaya (for 10,500 Baht compared to 14,500 for the same tyre quoted by the dealer), but I'm afraid the rim is on it's last legs. they've already welded it it 3 times in different places so it's time to 'bite the bullet' and get a replacement. The dealer is quoting 20K for a new rim so I wondered if there is anywhere I could get it a bit cheaper, or even, dare I say it, a copy or a second hand one. I've been trying to track down RPM, but my friend says they've moved, and after spending hours trying to track down their website, (it's entitled RPM ENTERTAINMENT!!!- which for hours I assumed was a different company, but it isn't....), there is absolutely no mention on the site of where it is located or any phone number to call them. I know... if I drive a BMW I have to expect to pay through the roof to keep it on the road, but if I can just spend up to 'mezzanine level', then why not? Any information will be appreciated. Here's a pic of the thrice welded rim (in 3 different places, I might add) I need one just like it Does this place have a website or can you give me it's precise location? The place I am talking about is: www.wheelsupply.co.th It is on the outbound side of Rama IX past Ramkhamhaeng. 20k for a BMW original replacement does not sound bad, actually. Just sayin...
