richard10365
I know things have gotten a little better since the tsunami but I still read reports of tourism not being as good as it use to be. What if the Thai government let everyone needing any visa service, new visa, extension, or anything else....to be done in Phuket or other tsunami devastated areas. Would you go to Phuket rather than making a visa run to Laos or some other country to get a new visa? Also, do you think something like this would help tourism in those areas? samran
I think the idea has merit.....why not try and email immigration and the letters to the editor at the BKK post/Nation with the idea of getting an extra extension of one goes to the Phuket office immigration office. Given that many senior politicians and civil servants own hotels down there, it may be something that gains their attention.
