February 7, 201115 yr Hello All, I am currently using the last entry of my non-immigrant o visa. I will go to Kuala Lumpur beginning of march with Air Asia and just realised that they wont probably let me go if I cannot show an outbound ticket from Thailand. I was planning to go to Ventianne in April to apply for a double entry tourist visa. Can I show the airline a reservation with a bus company that goes there? Thanks a lot, hope I was clear!
February 7, 201115 yr With a valid visa, no proof of onward travel is required. If flying from within Asia it is seldom asked for anyway.
February 7, 201115 yr Author actually this is my last entry, which means my visa will be expired when I pass immigration on my way to Malaysia. I could apply for a tourist visa during my stay there but I read it's quite difficult to get one there
February 7, 201115 yr Your flying with Air Asia, within Asia. From reports there should not be an issue in that case. A single entry tourist visa is not difficult to get there, you can at least try it. A single non-O based on marriage or retirement would also be possible.
February 17, 201115 yr Author I have just seen that, do they really require all these documents for just a tourist visa? Looks very complicated. http://www.mfa.go.th/web/1387.php?&id=3922
February 17, 201115 yr That link appears to be talking about African students in Malaysia as yellow fever shots have not been required of most for decades. Also it adds a specific student stay requirement. For most people a tourist visa is passport/copy and fee/photo. Some places ask for air ticket out and they could ask for proof of funds to support your stay but that is not normal for most applicants.
