george
Eleven people rescued from stuck elevator in south Pattaya PATTAYA: -- A group of students were rescued from inside an elevator which had become stuck at a hotel in south Pattaya. The students, all from Thammasat University, had decided all eleven of them could fit inside a small elevator which would convey them to the fourth floor of their hotel. This mini-Guinness Book of World Records dry run ended in failure when the device became stuck and refused to proceed. Although none of the students were in any way on the heavy side the sheer number of them caused the elevator to grunt and groan in the manner of a dying wildebeest before finally running out of steam. Rescue personnel were soon on the scene and prised open the lift doors and rescued the 11 male and female students who had been stuck inside the elevator for almost 30 minutes. salty
University students worldwide are meant to be intelligent but many have little common sense.
LennyW
If common sense was that common then everybody would have it.
geriatrickid
1 girl + 10 boys in close confines. I wonder if her "dignity" was untouched.
Credo
I wonder about everybody's dignity. I think for 11 people to get in an elevator, you'd have to use a lubricant.
Tokay
Maybe no one told them they had to press the numbers to make it go? Depending on how country they are... ya never know. I've seen Thai elderly have no idea how to get on an escalator. Watching them get off it was something else. Eleven students grunting and groaning letting off steam, I wonder if anyone had a hearty meal of bacon, cheese & beans before attemting their experiment?
