so i've done some reading on other poeples post but can't find one spec. to me... so now i ask for some help.

my thai girl friend, who i have known for 11 months wants to come to australia for a weeks holiday in december, she has a masters degree from sweden, has a full time job that she will return to and will be staying with me the week she is in australia.

my question is, do i need to supply, the joint apartment info, banks statements, phone bills, photos etc for her just coming over for 1 week. or is all this information required just as if i was applying for 3 month visa ?

i question in particular, what approximate amount would be required to be in her bank acount for a 1 week visa, as i have read that about $1000 per month is required or is that an estimate ?

You can sponsor her and she doesnt need anything in a Thai account....you dont need to pay a bond either.....

She needs enough to support herself in Oz (including hotel fees, They look at what would happen if you suddenly left her in the lurch), if you dont sponsor her. I would suggest that $1000 would be enough for a week.
