I went up to have a look at the running track, on the road to Huay Tung Tao, the other day. I noticed quite a few bikes parked next to the small restaurant there. Does anyone know what the deal is? Are they for hire?

They are for hire. I think they are 40 Baht an hour, including a bottle of water. They're not the best quality, but they'll get you round. Just check the brakes before you go as there are a couple of steep bits.

I really enjoy riding around the exercise track there. Detour and do a circuit of the lake as well and you have a good workout. The only downside is when the American christian community decide to take over the whole track for a full Saturday morning for a 'fun' run and thereby preventing anyone else from enjoying the track. If only they would announce when they were going to do this, I wouldn't drive all the way there and waste my morning.
