Search Function In Facebook

If I want to search for Dave Smith, who I went to school with in 1976, there is no way to find him.

I wonder why I can't search on Dave Smith, then key in "born in 1969" and "went to Belleville Grammer School in 1976".

Anybody know why Facebook doesn't have a better search capability?

p.s. just to state the obvious. Dave Smith is too popular a name, there are hundreds of them, many without photos and even if they did have a photo, I wouldn't recognize him after all these years.

Thanks for the link. I can see it really is a Beta version. It doesn't work at all. Not only can I not find anybody new with this function. It doesn't even come up with people that I know are on facebook. If I search for anybody and put in extra info like 'year of birth', which I know is correct......my friend doesn't even come up.
