Don'T Go To The Dealer

This is one of those 'don't go to the dealer' stories - my 28 year old Toyota was running a bit hot the other day, with a fairly rapidly fluctuating temperature gauge, so I stopped by the dealer as I happened to be passing. They diagnosed it as the sending sensor, and ordered one for 1,700 baht! Luckily for me that had none in stock, so I had time to go home and think, and after I checked I found it was just low on water. After filling it ran perfectly and the temperature gauge also performed perfectly.

It's a good thing you check the water every 28 years next you will say the battery is flat no water. This says something about how people take care of there vehicle.

Quality! What kind of 28 yr Toyota do you have?

Well it doesn't take much effort to check water, oil, brake fluid, clutch fluid, air cleaner (give the element a good bash around to remove dust), battery acid level and finally top up windscreen cleaner. Probably only need to do it every couple of months.

PS: Giving my Triton air cleaner a good dusting gave a performance boost. There you go, a free tune up tip!

No water could mean a hose or radiator leak; especially if its 28 years old. Best keep an eye on the water level?
