appropriate
Living up on the 15th story we used always have the bedroom sliding doors open during the night (and day) with no mossies coming in. the last few weeks has been like a mossie invasion (the basterds). Now they're in the bedroom, at night they buzz down for their nightly feast in droves. What's the best way of staving them off? The plug in smelly repellent, with the little bottle of fluid? Or the sonar one that sends out high-frequency noise? (I'd be slightly apprehensive about that one as although you can't consciously hear it, it might not be good to have such noise right next to your ears all night long. There's a plug just next to our pillows. Any others? All recommendations appreciated. Cheers.
Petbon
I'm told lemongrass spray, which smells nice, isn't liked by the critters. I spray some eucalyptus around, just because someone gave it to me, but unsure whether that's doing anything.
appropriate
lemongrass spray? Never heard of that. Thanks. I do love lemongrass. Think I'll stick to a commercial style mossie repellent though.
naidraw66
Keeping your sliding doors shut seems the best repellent to me . . . ! But an interesting question nevertheless . . . . . IW
appropriate
Keeping your sliding doors shut seems the best repellent to me . . . ! Yes, but they're already in now, plus the doors allow a nice fresh breeze in, as we seem to be above most of the pollution.

robblok
*sigh* Yes, that'll stop them getting out. Just lock all doors spray some of those cans you can buy anywhere come back in half an hour and then they are all dead.
shepsel
I also live on a high floor of a condominium, and the occasional mosquito does get in. I have found an all natural product from Sabu-Sabu in Mae Rim sprayed on the screens will rid the room of insects. It is available at Rimping and from the manufacturer. appropriate
Couldn't decide which to go for yesterday, so just bought those coils that you light. 16thb for a box. Had it on a table about 2 ft from the end of the bed. Both of us woke up bite free. And possibly smelling of smokey chemicals.
Petbon
I close windows/doors late arvo which keeps them out. Haven't worked out the latest time to do this - anyone know as it sure gets hot at night and I don't bother with fans/aircon just as I never use heaters in NZ. whybother
I have heard that spraying Listerine (yes, the mouth wash) keeps them away.
