Passport Lost, New Passport Has No Entry Card, How To Solve ?

Passport lost > tourist police made a report > to the embassy for a new one > new passport arrived > has no entry card (no overstay) how to get things with the immigration in order ?

Thanks.

Go to immigration with the letter from your embassy and the police report and fill in the form to get he permission to stay in the new passport. They will also take care of the missing TM-card.

A copy of the old passport might be handy, or your entry details (When/where/which airline), if the embassy letter doesn't state your old passport number.

Next stop Immigration. They see this often so not a problem to them. Would be easier for them if you have a xerox copy of your old passport with the visa and prior entry information, but not 100% necessary as much of this is in their computer. Give them your last entry date, and TM number if you've happened to write that down separately, and they'll punch it up. They'll make a note in your new passport that this is a replacement for one lost, and they'll stamp in your last entry date and permission to stay period. You might have to go to another window to get a replacement "Arrival/Departure" card, but the info is still in the computer.

Your embassy many have given you a form letter requesting this assistance, fine if they did, not a problem if they didn't.
