Aquiring An Ed Visa

Featured Replies

Hello,

I a 30 year old Canadian looking to get an ED visa for at least 7 months. I would like to do this with the least cost and time commitment to study??

I am currently in Bangkok on a tourist visa that is valid for another 2 months and would like to arrange the switch to the ED visa from within Thailand.

Thank you for your time

The school you decide on will prepare the paperwork for you to obtain the visa, then you will have to leave the country go to a neighbouring country to get the ED Visa.

Some schools can get you a visa without you having to leave Thailand. It's a much debated issue, but it can be done (since that's how I did it). As for cost, I think most language schools charge about the same (28,000 or so baht for one year). I don't know if it's cheaper to enroll in something else, but language schools can get you a visa quite easily, so you might not want to risk it by going with something cheaper but shady.
