I am going to Cambodia next week for an extended stay, I am planning on going through the Poipet check point.

I want to get a Business Visa, so I can extend it easily within the country, has anybody recently purchased a Business Visa at Poipet, I would like to know how easy you obtained it and how much you paid?

I know I can go by plane, and buy a Business Visa for $25 easily at the airport, but the price for a plane ticket at short notice is not cost effective so, I am going to go by bus through Siem Reap.

Thanks

First off you dont get a Thai visa in Poi pet you need to go to the Thai Consultant in Phnom Penh. If you are planning on going to Siam Reap, Saim reap is in the north part of Cambodia and Phon Penh is in the middle to south so you either need to take care of your visa and then go to Siam reap or go to Saim reap and then go take care of your visa.

Also, you cant get a Thai visa at the airport, again you need to go to the Thai Consultant and the fee is 2000B (for "B" visa single entry). You can get the Cambodian visa at the airport on arrival and that is 25USD. If you want to get a "B" visa you will need all the correct documents, submit the one day before noon at the thai consultant and pickup the next day after 1pm. The documents are as follows:

1) Copy of passport all pages & 2 recent photos

2) copy of academic degree

3) Invitation letter from the company stating why they want to employ you

4) Employment contract (according to form from the Ministry of Labor) this you can get away without having, but is good to have.

5) copy of commercial registration, certificate of company registration

6) copy of list of shareholders

7) Memorandum of company's regulation

8)copy of the company's latest income tax statement (por Ngor Dor 50 & 30)

9) copy of company's latest Value added tax (por por 20)

10) copy of company's balance sheet

11) copy of work permit (if you have one)

If you have all of the above documents you should be able to get a "B" visa with no problems.

Hope this helps.
