Withdrawals In Thailand

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I heard that you can avoid the 150 charge by going to an Aeon bank atm at most tesco lotus places in Thailand. Can I avoid this charge with travellers cheques sterling?. Or can I make bank transaction over the counter in any bank in Bangkok without paying this fee?

And if so, Where are these ATM for AEON's are there any in Khaoson road area, Krabi town, Patong, Phuket or Chaweng, Samui.

Which is best, the bank or Aeon.

Aeon ATM are widely available. Travellers cheques as far as I know there is NO way to avoid fees, and generally you pay per cheque not amount of the cheque so its better to get larger denominations for the cheques to reduce the repetition.Travellers Cheques can be cashed in most major banks and at some exchange booths.
