Document Translation

Featured Replies

Where in Bangkok can I get my wifes house and car registration translated to English? Will use when applying for tourist visa to UK.

Yes we offer a translation service but you have no need to translate these documents.

So she should just take the original documents and a copy in Thai when she submits the paper work for the visa? thanks for the help.

Thanks for the reply but I'm getting a bit of conflicting info. The UK Border Agency website says supporting documents not in English must be translated. The house book, land deed and car registrations are all in Thai. They say to submit the original and 1 copy plus a translation. Maybe the website is out of date. Has anyone submitted supporting documents recently and if so did you need to have them translated?

The websites do say that documents not in English should be translated, but anecdotal evidence suggests that this is not necessary for official documents.

TVE is a professional visa agent who regularly submits UK visa applications on behalf of his clients; I'd take his word for it.

If for example the applicant has a birth certificate this maybe handy in the future for example the NHS.

But we do this daily and the Embassy employ local Thai nationals to help process applications.

OK, thanks for the help. We wont get the document translated. I assume when you submit the original they return it to you? Or do they just look at it and take the photocopy?

Submit any documentation you feel may help them make a positive decision.

1 x photo copy + 1 original is generally what we submit.
