4 Year Old Swedish - Thai Girl Kidnapped

Noticed one of the replies in Facebook surmised that if the father really wanted to have results from the reward money offer, that he should up it to 300,000 baht; apparently in order to attract sufficient notice.

... my bet is that money will solve this way before the ROYAL Thai Police ... Thailand is a very porous society and Thais relish in gossip ... a nation of 13-year old girls, incapable of keeping a secret ... the whereabouts of this little girl is probably known to many, and the kidnapper's social circle is probably not hard to identify.

... the word of a reward will find it's way to people who know, and their greed will compel them ... it has nothing to do with any sense of morality, or empathy ... these are not Thai cultural values.

... 50,000 baht is a lot of money to the many Thais who know of the child's whereabouts ... in a survivalist society of inferior cultural values, money will capture their attention ... probably a family member will collect the reward ... maybe a policeman.

... maybe the mother will 're-sell' her dauighter to the father to replenish the bank account she has emptied since she first sold her own daughter's custody to the father ... it's been almost a year ... timing sounds about right.

... for those who've been in Thailand awhile, most of us have read how even Thai family members kidnap a nephew or neice from a Thai-farang family for the money ... if distant family members are excluded from the plunder of the farang's wealth, which is considered a right, they get their money another way.

... hope the father gets his daughter and gets out of Thailand, away from these animals.

Even more spot on.

From the new website created for the incident:

http://niza.dinstudio.se/text1_1.html

What’s also peculiar is the school’s behavior in all this – first they let Niza go to a stranger whom Niza herself said she did not know (this of course being against all safety regulations) and then, a few days ago the headmaster of the school sent an email to concerned parents stating that Niza had been found and was home safely, which is not true at all!

Google translation of Swedish press report:

Henrik Engdahl looking for in Thailand for missing daughter Niza Engdahl.

Niza, 4, abducted by her mother in Thailand

Niza Engdahl, 4, are missing in Thailand.

Snatched from his mother, who reportedly is an alcoholic and unstable:

- Two years ago she held a knife against Nizas wrist, says father Henrik Engdahl.

Henrik Engdahl, 38, lives in Thailand and has two children with a 21-year-old Thai. Today, Henry sole custody of Niza and her little sister.

- The mother was derailed in 2009, began drinking alcohol and left us. When we separated us six months ago she said "take the children, only I get some money, " says Henry, who lives in Hua Hin.

A week ago, the mother suddenly popped up on the children's nursery and asked for Niza. Neither the staff or Niza - who has not seen his mother in two years - recognized her. But she left an ID card as collateral, and then let her staff walk away with Niza. Henry felt again later her mother from a surveillance video.

Since then, Henrik Engdahl spent all their waking time looking after his daughter. Tips have been received since the Thai newspapers have written about the kidnapping, and therefore has both Henry traveled to Pattaya, Bangkok and Buri Ram, where the mother comes from. The Thai father-in Buri Ram said Niza and her mother had been there, but gone again.

Abduction Case Has Top Priority

ScandAsia met late last night, a calm and tired Henrik Engdahl in Bangkok. He had come to Bangkok to see the Swedish Embassy and to search for his daughter Niza Engdahl who was abducted by her mother last Wednesday. There is still no sign of her mother Surat Enmak and nothing new about the abduction. Mr. Engdahl had been in the province Buri Ram which is Surat Enmak's home province. He has since received a call from Surat Enmak's father who says that his daughter had visited his home, but quickly took off again allegedly in anger of her father wanting her to go to the police.

Per Andersson, Head of the Consular Affairs at the Swedish embassy in Bangkok, said today Thursday morning that the matter has the highest priority as in all cases involving children. Per Andersson added that the Embassy is in close contact with Henrik Engdahl and cooperates closely with the Thai Police in this case. At strategic selected locations, such as train and bus stations and airports, friends and acquaintances to Henrik Engdahl and the family have put up flyers with pictures of the missing girl and the contact details of Mr Engvall.

Without you, this would never had happened. Many thanks also to Aftonbladet who had the courage to publish the article of Nizas disappearens. All love to you all!"
