September 15, 200520 yr As many have, I to deciding to move to Thailand. Now also at the same time come to the conclusion after reading many posts here, and reviewing condos / service apartments, that I think best for me is a hotel. I like in general the noisier atmosphere, like a decent size lobby with people coming and going. Restaurant / bar off to the side, room service, daily house cleaning, etc. I have not made up my mind entirely, and understanding the cost factor, I might just wind up buying a condo or renting a service apt at that. For now however my question is this: Dose anyone know of some decent (3, better still 4 star) hotels in Bangkok or Pattaya, that might give decent discounts for long stays and / or even paying in advance? Typing this out now, this just popped up in my head. How about a combination building if any, when there is hotel and Service apartment? That type building might satisfy my (I won't say needs but) wants. Appreciate any leads.................. DJM

I checked them out one time and they looked quite nice. Near BTS, malls, etc. Just a thought. Also, I stayed at Patumwan House for some time. Half hotel, half furnished rooms. They will cut you a deal if you stay for a month. Nice location.
September 16, 200520 yr Center Point Sukhumvit (Soi 10) is worth considering. Google it. Also good, in fact, better, Emporium suites but more expensive. Edited September 16, 200520 yr by think_too_mut
