Price Of Burma Visa At Mae Sai

Featured Replies

Doing the visa run on Friday, just to check have there been any reports of the prices from either side going up at Mae Sai...?

Are you inquiring about the day pass for Tachileik? Went up there 2 weeks ago, it was the usual 500 baht or 10 USD. No charge for the 15 day stamp going back to Thailand.

Yeh cheers man

Got a non imm o that I have to top up every 3 months. Sounds like the price is still the same

you would be lucky if they accepted the $10 , seems like they only want the more value 500 baht nowadays

actually though, i was wondering if there is any thing stopping somebody from not even entering the burmese side, can you just linger in "no mans land" for a few minutes then re-enter thailand??

I did the run to Mae Sai over christmas, 500 bts, all very efficient.

Without an exit stamp from boarding country you would be considered illegal entry and jailed/deported per previous information on an official Thai border web site. At any rate you would not be allowed entry into Thailand but if you insisted rather than live you life in non mans land it would be a case of arrest and deportation. A few people have not been checked but normally they carefully look for that stamp.
