Owning A Sole Proprietor Us Company In Thailand

Recommended Posts

While Sunbelt does have extensive experience forming Amity treaty companies, forming a sole proprietorship is not recommended as the Labor Office is no longer issuing work permits for these so you can own it but not operate it. Those who formed the sole proprietorship before the changes have been grandfathered in. Some Labor Office officials may require that the work permit must have been applied for before the changes and may not approve a new work permit even on a sole proprietorship formed before the changes were enacted.

Additionally, as sole propreitor you have full liability for the company and your personal assets would also be at risk if something were to happen. An example would be the messenger for your company got into an accident while on the job, you could be sued for your personal assets while a limited liability company would protect your personal assets.
