Anyone ever applied for a spousal tourist visa to visit Dubai??

Problems experiences???..can get sponsorship from sons co methinks and references blah blah..all responses much appreciated..not even sure how to get one for an Aussie will google...555

if you are Australian, you get on a plane, turn up to immigration and get stamped in for 30 days. That is the tourist visa just for a bog standard visit.

If you want a spousal visa, well, you are going to need to have your spouse working there already and the employer will sort out the visa.

yeah, it was a bit confusing ;)

I've traveled there using both passports (Thai and Oz). OZ is much easier...

nless things have changed, using the Thai passport, the easiest way is to book a ticket with Emirates Airlines and their offices will handle the visa application. The UAE embassy tends to outsource this. The other way is to get one of the big hotels to do so as well. You'll have to book a couple of nights with them, but generally these two ways are the standard ones.
