I heard from a friend that you can get 90 day visa for my Harley instead of bringing the bike to thailand just import it to malaysia to get a visa for the bike and drive it in thailand for 90 days then leave the country and get another 90 days .I would like some more imformation on this .

Just to let you know, thought you would get a few more relevant answers in the house & car ownership forum than in the Bangkok one.

A friend did this with his benz and bragged about it for months, until one day I didn't see the car anymore and could never get an answer where the car was. Probably seized for too many visa run.

I suspect that the killer will be that the vehicle must leave the country at the same crossing at which it entered, so no nipping over into Cambodia for an extension :o

Of course, you've got to get the bike into Malaysia, could just be not worth the hassle.

Of course, you've got to get the bike into Malaysia, could just be not worth the hassle.

Quite right, esp as the import duties to Malaysia are just as draconian, if not more so than Thailand :D

You can get a temp import into Malaysia and then drive it into Thailand.

You do not have to leave Thailand by the same border crossing but you must specify in advance which crossing will be used for exit.

Your passport will be stamped, you cannot leave Thialand without the bike or questions will be asked.
