Hi to all,

Sorry if this has already been discussed, i couldn't find it..newie you know!

What i want to know is this; i arrived a couple of weeks ago on visa exemption and have decided to spend more time looking around the country.I have been informed of all the proceedures to go to vientiane etc for a tourist visa, but am unsure if i am eligible to apply after i have had a visa exempt entry.Hopefully i can just go to Laos the day before my 30 days is up and apply for TV.Yes?

Thanks in advance.

ok what happened after the 31st as i travel out on the 3rd of april and will be staying 34 nights ?

Visas will cost the normal 1,000 baht unless they extend the free period again.

If you are saying you plan to overstay it will cost 500 baht per day and an overstay stamp in your passport.

If you have a ticket out within 7 days you can normally obtain 7 days from Immigration to leave.
