PM thanked MPs for their support, promises to continue working

By Sodchuen Limkriangkrai.

BANGKOK, March 20, 2011 (NNT) - Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva reiterates that the Government will put its best effort to solve the economic issue in the remaining time left until the next general election, adding that next week's House meeting is prepared to consider the 3 organic laws before the House dissolution in the beginning of May.

Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva thanked MPs for voting in support of him and other nine cabinet ministers to survive the no-confidence motion in his weekly talk show. He added that the Government will move ahead to resolve economic hardship of the people as they are suffering from rising prices of consumer goods.

Furthermore, Mr. Abhisit added that the Election Commission (EC) had already submitted the organic laws on election to House Speaker Chai Chidchob and they were due to be considered next week. He was confident the three organic laws would get approval from parliament before May and the House of Representatives could be dissolved in early May as promised.

He added that in the remaining one and a half month time, the government would speed up its effort to resolve problems of corruption, drug trafficking and high cost of living of the people.

You would think the PM would be really looking forward to having a break. They have not been easy months - any news of his intending to re-run?
