March 24, 201115 yr Hi, I'm currently in Thailand on a 60 days tourist visa which I extended for 1,900 bath for 30 days. Now I'm planning to do a visa run to Malaysia and return with a new 60 days tourist visa which I'm planning to renew again for 30 days in Thailand. My question is if this strategy can work for a longer time or if anyone ever got denied a tourist visa based on the previous number of tourist visas they had. I'm under 50 so I cannot go for a retirement visa. I guess the obvious alternative would be an education visa as far as I understand. Many thanks, Philipp
March 24, 201115 yr I have never had a Tourist Visa, but understand from 3 Friends + 2 Visa Agents in Penang within the last 10 days If you do extend for 1,900 baht for 30 days on a Tourist Visa, then Penang will refuse you another Tourist Visa... If you DO NOT extend then you can get 3x Tourist Visa's back to back. No idea about other places in Malaysia.. Edit: It appears that different Embassies/ Consulates apply different rules across every type of Visa [use there own interpretation of the rules] Edited March 24, 201115 yr by ignis
