Getting Translated Document Approved At Mofa - How Long

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Does anyone know how long it takes to get a translated document approved (stamped) by the Minsitry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok?

Some background;

We got married in Hong Kong (marriage certificate in English). In order to change my wifes surname to mine on her Thai ID card and house book we were advised by the Thai Consulate in Hong Kong that we need to (1) get a Thai translation of the marriage document (we have had this done via Thai consulate in HK) and (2) Get the translated document approved by the Minsitry of Foreign Affairs in Bangkok.

Just trying to plan how long we need to stay in BKK to get the MOFA approval - 1 day, 2 days, etc.

..Anyone got any advice please let me now.

Thanks!
