Hi, the wife successfully recieved a family visit visa to UK this week, we are travelling to UK for my mum and dads golden wedding anniversary, we had not booked the flights, but included a return flight intiniary among the docs submitted for her application, however looking at flights now I see there are flights arriving at an airport that is more convenient to our final UK destination priced only a couple hundred quid more than the itiniary submitted to the other airport, it would mean saving 3 hours driving time to reach our final destination,

I wonder whether anyone can advise whether this may cause issues for her at border control since the itiniary we submitted at application for her visa would be changed and we would be arriving into the country via another airport??

thanks in advance.

I really don't think the airport of arrival matters. You don't have to show the ECO an actual ticket with confirmed flight number and place/time of arrival before the visa is granted, so I don't see it being a problem. One is allowed to change one's travel plans. If asked, she should just explain this as a change of travel plan for the sake of convenience.

It will cause her no problem whatsoever the IO at the border will not be in least bit concerned over a change of flights, or even be aware, the itinerary was only indicitive of your wife's travel plans.
