Please help me if you know about this.biggrin.gif

I am renting a room and want to end my rental and get my deposit back. I have never had success getting my deposit back in Thailand. Do you have any tips to help me get my rental deposit back from my landlord? BTW, I have not yet informed the landlord I want to leave. I want to go in about 2 weeks.

I am hoping that they will not tack on an extra month's rent. Where I stay, there are no rental contracts. When I started my lease there was no requirement to give 30 days notice. But after about 1 year of renting there, they made a new policy that one must give 30 days notice. I don't know if this applies to me as I started renting before the policy started. Also they want to renovate my room very soon and increase the rent by 30%.

I don't want to lose all my deposit just for being a Farang. angry.gifAny suggestions.

I see there are some other topics with similar content. The details of my situation are probably useless in the face of widespread deposit witholdings. So this topic can be deleted.
