Thought the Harley was now the Eden? Haven't been in for a few months - will try to get in next week - I'm home for a day or two, travelling from Saudi to VietNam. I try to laugh every day.. and almost always am successful, but still to read the forum the way it used to be is always funny.... the likes of Moog and the others... who despite their return in another form just don't seem the same.. Also funny about the thing that appears to have happened with the photo links... still chuckle at brit's comments about the mayor... I was in the LOS at the time of their arrest,and had actually seen the Martin character around pattaya although not Paul and recognized Martin from the photo. He was bailed and seen driving around in a rented Mercedes. I heard about 6 months ago in Pattaya that he somehow got back to England and was caught by British Customs smuggling tobbaco and cigarettes into GB. Apparently Customs intercepted one of his consignments and placed a tracking device in it and tracked it to his lockup where he had over 100,000 english pounds worth of tobacco and cigs. Not a rumour I know the people he dealt with although they did not ask questions. I know who payed his bail and a lot more but will not put it in writing on a website. instead of quoteing rumours can anyone prove my sources are wrong if so let me know so I can tyell them they have bs me. He thought he had paid all the right people and with Paul pleading guilty and Ward not guilty he thought all the blame would be left with Paul. But this was months ago it was at court. Here comes the strange bit his wife (been out less than 1 year after getting 8 years for yabba) got pulled by the boys in brown 2 days before they took Ward away........ shocker Posted March 12, 2008 Share Posted March 12, 2008 Two suspected English drug dealers arrested in South Pattaya.We joined Police Colonel Somnook, the Chief of Pattaya Police at house number 106/16 in Soi 17, South Pattaya where he made a major drugs seizure and arrested three men. Two of the arrestees are British Nationals, Mr. Martin Ward aged 39 and Mr. Paul Bangle aged 42. The other man is a Thai, Khun Songlan aged 26. A total of 10 kgs of Marijuana, and 334 Packets of Cialis, which is similar to Viagra, which were later found to be fake, were seized. According to the two English men, the Cialis tablets came from a friend in China which were in fact herbal tablets repackaged here in Thailand. This operation netted the pair in excess of 100,000 Baht per month. The Marijuana was received from a Thai man known as Larn from Huoy Yai sub-district for 9,500 Baht per Kilo. Khun Songlan was arrested previously in possession of Marijuana and Cialis tablets and confessed to Police that he purchased the drugs from the English suspects and agreed to participate in an undercover operation which led to this arrest. Both English men have been charged with serious class 5 drugs charges and dealing in counterfeit licensed medication. If convicted they are expected to receive substantial prison terms here in Thailand. The British Embassy in Bangkok are working closely with the Police to ensure the pair are treated in accordance with the law. -Pattaya City News Tuesday 20th September 2005 when in rome.....you dont come to these peoples country and mess around.If the indiginous people want to get up to that kinda stuff,cool for them,but dont come here and expect to ride roughshod over their laws and arrangements.Cant really blame the thais for getting sick of farang treating their homeland as a free for all playground.A cheap holiday...in other peoples misery Even so,I dont think Martin Ward should have copped 12 years (will he survive it?) for (what looks like)some shitty weed and blag viagra.....more going on than meets the eye I reckon...... any updates anyone?With the bars shutting at 2 and the general air of an all round cleanup,is pattaya really going to dragged kicking and screaming into family holiday respectability?Are there going to be scapegoats/examples made? From what I understand There was about 1.5M put up for bail for him and the Thai boy, Paul was left in there for 18 months, (heard various stories non fit as to why he was not taken out at the same time) I dont knot how much had been paid recently but it was significant. The other Brit went guilty at pre-trial Ward went not guilty, Paul left the country so I suppose it looked like an open and shut case which really it should of been. It cost him almost 500,000 to keep the nonceing case from going to court so really he should still be out. I know someone close to the family but the info coming back aint sitting right for me........ Shocker sorry i'm not an Army Para I'm another kind of Para!
